Fandom of the Month Club: January 2016

Hey there geekonistas!

I'm running a little late on reviews for January! I'm not sure what happened, the month just seemed to get away from me. Maybe I'm getting... too many subscriptions? *Laughs hysterically* yeah, we all know that's not possible.

The subscription box I have for you today is one of my favorites, the Fandom of the Month Club box. Fandom of the Month club is a monthly subscription box that delivers geeky themed jewelry and other accessories. The cost is $13.00 a month for a month-to-month subscription, $36.00 ($12.00 per box) if you pay for three months up front, and $66.00 ($11.00 per box) if you pay for six months up front. Shipping is extra and costs $3.50 per month within the U.S. and $9.80 per month internationally.

January's theme was "Harry Potter", but not just regular old Harry Potter! With this box we take a trip into the darker, more villainous side of our favorite Wizarding World!

This is the custom bag that held all the items this month - it has a Harry Potter quote and graphic printed on it and gives a hint to the theme of the items contained inside.

The postcard this month has this cool Death Eater illustration on it, and the magnet features everyone's favorite crazy wizard villianness, Bellatrix.

This is my absolute favorite item this month! It's a mirror compact, with "Have You Seen This Wizard" printed on the front, basically putting your own face into a wanted poster. :3 This is a really high quality compact with a good size and weight to it as well.

This is so cute! It's the only item that I would say veers slightly away from the villain theme, although still, of course, Harry Potter related - it's a silver charm bracelet with mostly silver charms,  except one special lightning bolt that is in gold.

And for the final item in the box, we have a pair of silver earrings, made in the shape of the Death Eater symbol. Creepy-cool.

Final Thoughts: I think delving into the different aspects of the Harry Potter universe (instead of the same old snitch-shaped everything or focusing on the houses) helps make this box fresh and interesting. I thought the quality of the items were really good, and I will definitely be putting that mirror to use right away!

What did you think of this month's box? Who is your favorite Harry Potter Villain? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for hanging out!
