So, wow! I'm going to be in a geeky fashion show this Saturday! I'm excited but also kind of terrified, since I've never actually done anything like this before. I'm walking for Darling Army, who makes some of the best "simple" cosplay clothing around, like pinafores, printed dresses, leggings, and a whole lot more! If you live in the Las Vegas area and want to come see the show, it's going to be a part of the Sabakon convention at the Alexis Park Resort, Saturday at 11 am. Whee!
But before all that, let's jump into something else exciting: this month's OTM from Glamour Doll Eyes!
In case you are unfamiliar, Glamour Doll Eyes is a cruelty-free, indie company that produces loose and pressed eye shadow pigments, blushes, and lip products. The OTM service costs $11.00 per month to the U.S., $18.00 per month to Canada, and $22.00 internationally (all of these prices include shipping), and includes at least one eye shadow, plus another product. There is a different theme to the OTM each month, and any extras can be purchased on the GDE site once all of the subscriptions have been mailed out. (Be warned though, they go fast!) To get the subscription, you must email the owner to get onto the waitlist. The waitlist lasts one year and is reset in January. (Which is how I managed to snag one!)
The theme this month is "Road Trip" and it includes a full size loose blush pigment, a loose eyeshadow pigment and a lip balm. Let's check it out! Full disclosure: there were some wintergreen lifesavers, too, but I ate them. Well, I ate most of them. The cats grabbed one for a toy.
First up is the blush! This color is called "Pit Stop" and it's an absolutely gorgeous "pinky coral with a subtle tangerine sheen". It's also almost a spot on dupe for NARS Orgasm, minus the gold glitter present in Orgasm.

Next up is the eye shadow. This one is called "Drive-Thru", and it has a dark brown base with a blue-green sheen and lots of glitter. It's a very pretty color combination but one I feel like I see a lot. Still, this is a really well-done version!
And finally we have the lip balm from this month's guest indie, For Goodness Grape. When I first got this I was super disappointed, since the scent was supposed to be "Waffles w/ Syrup", but actually smelled like wintergreen from sitting with the lifesavers in the bag. Luckily, the wintergreen smell faded within a couple days and now it's back to smelling like delicious, delicious waffles. I have a lot (and I mean a LOT) of lip balms, but this one is going to be firmly in place at the top of the rotation.
Final Thoughts: Well, that's it for this month's OTM. There were some great items this month, but I think my favorite was the blush! I didn't do a look since there was only one eye shadow and it wouldn't look much different from the swatch.
What did you think of this month's OTM? Do you have any great roadtrip memories/stories you'd like to share? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time, thanks for hanging out!
