Kiss My Sass: Lip Addicts Anonymous November 2015

Hey there geekonistas!

So, Disneyland was actually kind of a bust, beauty wise. It seems that Disney has discontinued the "Beautifully Disney" line of makeup, so there wasn't much there for me to review. Fortunately, I still had an awesome time, especially checking out the "Season of the Force" Star Wars event that's currently going on in Tomorrowland! I did discover that Disney is now selling Her Universe (geeky clothing made for girls) in the parks, so that was a cool find.

But anyway, since I don't really have any Disney stuff to review, let's go ahead and check out this months Lip Addicts Anonymous from Kiss My Sass Cosmetics, centered around the theme of my favorite hot beverage, coffee!

Lip Addicts Anonymous is a monthly subscription service from Kiss My Sass Cosmetics, an indie, cruelty-free makeup company. The subscription is $8.00 per month plus shipping (my shipping to Las Vegas, NV is $2.25) and it includes a full size exclusive lip product, two cosmetic samples, one bath and body sample and a coupon code. Important to note: This is the second to last month of the recurring subscription model - the owner is moving the entirety of her shop over to Etsy in January, which means that if you want the box you must go to her shop every month and purchase it.

This month's box includes a lip tint, 2 eye shadow samples, a soap sample, a coupon code for 20% off your order at Kiss My Sass, and a highlighter sample from the guest indie, Aromaleigh Cosmetics.

The lip tint this month is definitely very subtle. It's described as a "warm shimmering bronze" with a "tiramisu" flavor. It smells kind of like coffee and toast to me? Not a bad thing by any means. I was also surprised that I liked the way it looked on my lips. I thought it would be too brown but it actually just imparted a nice shimmer.

The bath and body sample this month is a bar soap sample called "Frangelico Affogato" and I absolutely love the scent! It smells rich and sweet and creamy, exactly like a dessert coffee with a shot of frangelico in it. I can't wait to have a morning shower with this.

The first loose eye shadow sample this month is called "Espresso" and it's a matte medium brown shade. It's smooth and well pigmented, and would be a nice color for deepening the crease.

The second loose shadow is called "Tiramisu", and it's the shadow counterpart to this month's lip product, the same bronze base with some rose gold sparkles added. I really like this one, it's going to make a great lid shade!

Finally, we have a highlighter sample from this month's guest indie, Aromaleigh Cosmetics! This is a warm rose gold shade that may be too dark for me to use as a highlighter (super pale girl here) but will possibly see use as an eye shadow.

Final Thoughts: Despite the fact that I do love coffee, I was a bit nervous about the amounts of brown that were included this month. However, the lip tint was a subtle enough color that it actually looked flattering on me, and the other shades were nice complements without being boring. Next month will probably be my last month of this subscription though, not because I don't like it, just because I am terrible at remembering things, so I most likely will not remember to go to the shop every month to purchase the subscription. Also, there are a couple other indie sub boxes I have my eye on, so perhaps it's a good thing that I can make room for those!

What do you think about this month's subscription? What's your favorite hot beverage? Let me know in the comments!
