I have another subscription box for you today! (Who would have guessed?) This one comes from the makers of "Loot Crate" and it's called "Loot Anime"!
Loot Anime is a subscription box that brings you Anime and Manga based items every month, centered around a particular theme. The cost is $24.99 per box for a one month subscription, with savings if you preorder 3, 6, or 12 month subscriptions. There is also a $5.00 per month shipping and handling fee added on to the price of the box.
This month's box (or episode, as Loot Anime calls them) is themed around "Enchantment" and it contains some really cool stuff! Let's check it out.
First up we have the information sheet for the box! The front of this is a really cool poster, while the back contains information about each product in the box. The poster contains symbols from each anime that was included in this month's box - save one. The crown that she is wearing is from "No Game No Life" a light novel series turned anime. There was supposed to be a "No Game No Life" item included in the box this month but the supplier ran into issues so another item was substituted instead. I'm not sure which item is the substitution, so whatever they picked it still fit the theme perfectly!
There are two wearable items in this months box - the first is this exclusive-to-loot-anime scarf based on the "Fairy Tail" anime. This scarf is nice and thick and warm and really long! I'm 5'4" and when draped around my neck (not wrapped) it still reaches to about my knees.
The second wearable is a cool tshirt, printed with a design from "Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers". I haven't watched this anime yet, but I'm intrigued by it. Have any of you seen it? What did you think? This design is pretty cute, and the material of the shirt is nice and soft.
Aw, these are so cute! Konpeito are "Star Candies" which are very popular in Japan and feature in a lot of anime. You may have seen them in the Sailor Moon S movie, where a man who dreams of space gives some to Luna, or in the Miyazaki film "Spirited Away" where the soot sprites are given them for a treat. According to the info sheet, they are also the inspiration for "Gratitude Crystals" in the Legend of Zelda series. These pretty much just taste like sugar, but they do have a crunchy texture to them that makes them fun to eat.
Next up we have a pin from the anime series "Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?". This is another series I haven't seen yet, but I've heard good things. This pin is a cute and subtle way to show off your fandom.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Madoka for short) is one of those anime that just comes out of nowhere and hits you right in the feels. I started watching this thinking it was just going to be a cute magical girl anime but oh boy, was I ever wrong. This art print (by the same artist that created this month's poster) really brings Madoka to life. I've got to find a spot in my room for all these mini prints!
Not done yet! There were a lot of items in this month's box! This is a keychain featuring a keyblade which gamers will probably recognize from the smash hit Kingdom Hearts series. (3 is coming.... it's coming soooooooon)
And finally, our last item this month is a cellphone charm. This charm is exclusive to Loot Anime and features symbols from each of this month's included anime (Plus No Game No Life again) and a II to symbolize that this is the second box. The back is a shiny silver with the Loot Anime logo printed on it.
Final thoughts: This month was a lot of fun, with a mix of high quality and lower end products, almost all of which I will use. Next month's theme is "Equip" and I'm hoping for some more great wearables in that!
What do you think of this month's box? Any anime you're obsessed with this season? Let me know in the comments!
And as always, thanks for hanging out!
