Innocent + Twisted: i+t alchemist - June 2016

Hey there geekonistas!

I'm a little bit behind with this review, since it's the June i+t alchemist and here it is July already! Better late than never I suppose though, eh?

In case you are unfamiliar, i+t alchemist is the name of the monthly subscription service from Innocent + Twisted Alchemy. There were recently some changes in the subscription service and, starting in August, it will be just one size for $18.00 per month, including shipping.  Each month's subscription is based around a particular theme and contains at least three products made just for subscribers, plus a coupon code for 35% off. There are still currently 1-month trials available for July (due to the restructuring July is only trials)For more details and release times I would suggest following the I+TA facebook page.

This month the theme is Final Fantasy XIII, which I have actually never played. I played XIV (the MMO) for a while, but before that the last time I remember playing a Final Fantasy was when they were still using 8-bit sprites. Yes, I am that old. Anyway! The subscription this time includes four deluxe sample size loose eyeshadow pigments, plus one full size loose pigment from guest indie Dusk Cosmetics. As usual, all loose pigments are swatched over Geek Chic Cosmetics' Power Up Primer. Let's take a look!

This month is definitely cool tone based, starting with "Lightning", a really neat duochrome shade. The base is pink and and the sheen is very blue, making this shadow appear purple straight on, but pink when you tilt it.

Next up we have Nora. This is a dusty blue green with a silver sheen. This is my favorite color this month! It's just so cool and refreshing looking, plus the pigmentation is really nice and smooth.

The next color is called "Noel", and this is a pale purple with a bit of a silver sheen and blue and gold sparkles in it.

The true glitterbomb of the bunch, however, is "Sera" a dark purple with a reddish sheen and tons of blue sparkles.

The pigment from guest indie Dusk Cosmetics is called "Mog" and its a gorgeous rosy pink with a strong gold sheen to it. I bet this would make a beautiful highlighting blush! Also, I had to include a close-up of this adorable cover art. It's just too cute!

Final Thoughts: Some really gorgeous colors again this month from Innocent +Twisted! I am definitely very happy with this subscription and even with the upcoming price increase, I feel like it's definitely a good value. Next month the theme is apparently going to be based around Ranma 1/2 and I'm basically losing my mind over how awesome that is.

What did you think of this month's i+t alchemist? Do you play any FF games? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time, thanks for hanging out!
