Boos and News : Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, geekonistas!

It's finally here and I hope you are all having a wonderful time, no matter what you are doing, and looking fabulous while doing it! I wanted to share a special holiday post with you all today, featuring some news, special sales, limited edition offers, and more!

First up we have something you should jump on right now! My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics has released an extremely limited edition, one day only Halloween shade called "Meal of Me". I've seen some swatches of this and oh my god, it is amazing! Do not miss out! In fact, go buy it right now. I'll wait. (Update: it's over! This color has vanished forever!)

Are you back? Great! I hope you got one. And speaking of super limited edition, Notoriously Morbid has also put out a one day only Halloween set of two different shadows! These are based on Laura and Carrie's favorite Halloween films and they look gorgeous as well! (This promotion is also now over.)

Moving away from Halloween for the moment, I wanted to address some of the Jem and the Holograms mania that is going on right now. I'll be honest, the new movie looks like a snore fest so I probably won't see it until it comes out on Netflix, but I am a HUGE fan of the old cartoon, and thankfully a lot of the merchandising surrounding the film (at least beauty wise) seems to be more based on the cartoon version. Sephora, in particular, has released a new set featuring our plucky heroines. This set includes an eye shadow palette, liquid lipstick set, one regular lipstick, and a compact mirror. The packaging and colors look amazing!

Ah... unfortunately, I will not be purchasing any of it. The Sephora house brand, which produces it, is not cruelty free, and, though I love my childhood cartoons dearly, I love my furry friends more. :/  Fortunately, cruelty free (and vegan!) Manic Panic has come to my Jem-loving rescue with a new line of four hair dyes based on the Hologram girls, Two of them even glow under black light! How's that for truly outrageous?

Moving past Jem-mania, I have an update on the Kiss My Sass Lip Addicts Anonymous monthly subscription. It seems the owner is moving her shop completely onto Etsy, and will therefore no longer be able to do the traditional recurring subscriptions. This is an excerpt from the newsletter about how the new system will work : "Each month I will post the Lip Addicts Anonymous lip products for sale and they will be available until they sell out. There will now be a "wearable" & a "bold" version available each month (starting in January 2016).  Both will be the same product (both lip tints or both lipsticks etc.) as well as the same type of color (both purples or both reds) BUT one is more wearable (more sheer or less sparkly etc.) and the other bolder (brighter, more pigmented or amped up w/ sparkles etc.).  Since it's not recurring, you can change between "wearable" and "bold" each month or even buy both."
Kiss My Sass is also offering a coupon code for Halloween! Using the code TRICKORTREAT through 11:59pm on October 31st will score you 31% off your purchase of $15.00 or more. Pretty sweet!

ColourPop is also having a flash sale! 20% off their Fall collection, which is a great deal considering how inexpensive ColourPop is to begin with!

In blog news, I have a couple things coming up that I am very excited to review! I have the new Tribute Trio based on Nine Inch Nails from Notoriously Morbid coming in soon, plus the Monty Python and the Holy Grail collection from a new-to-me brand, AFK cosmetics. I've also got a new snack subscription box that I absolutely love. If there are any collections you'd like to see me review, feel free to leave a comment!

I will also keep this post updated if I find any more sales or special offers!

Happy Halloween and.... good night out there... whatever you are! Muahahahahahahahahahahahaah!
