Hey there geekonistas!
Welcome to day four of Blogmas and part two of my review of
AFK Cosmetics' Round Table collection! You can find part one - blush, highlighter, and lip glosses
here. Today we're checking out the six loose shadows that come with the collection. So let's make like an unladen swallow and dive on in!
An African or European swallow? |
The first shadow is called "Bring Out Your Dead" and it's a greyish taupe with a silver shimmer.
I'm not dead yet! |
I feeeel happpyyyy! |
The next color is "Ni!" and its a forest green with green sparkles and shimmer. Very pretty!
Bring me a shrubbery! |
You must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... with.. a.. herring! |
Next we have "...Tim?". This is a reddish brown with some intense gold shimmer and pink sparkle! The pink sparkle doesn't show up that well on camera, but it's definitely there.
Who are you who can summon fire without flint or tinder? |
There are some who call me... Tim. |
Blurred for sparkle. No quote here. |
"That Rabbit's Dynamite!" is a cream colored base with a pink shift.
It's just a harmless little BUNNY, isn't it?! |
Death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth! |
Next up we have "The Black Beast of Arrghhh!". This is a blackened teal with a teal shimmer. This would look great foiled as a liner!
Look, if he was dying, he wouldn't have bothered to carve "Aaaaauuuuuggghhhh" he'd just say it. |
When suddenly, the animator suffered a fatal heart attack! The cartoon peril was no more. |
And finally, we have the last color in the collection. "Airspeed Velocity of an Unladen Swallow"! This is a medium brown with a matte/satin finish.
It could be carried by an African swallow. |
But then the African swallow's not migratory. |
Final thoughts: Aside from the fun I had coming up with all the Monty Python quotes, I really enjoyed this collection! This is such a rich movie to mine for colors and characters, I would love to see a part two for more great products. I found the quality to be very high for all the shadows, with great pigmentation and ease of application. I'm not sure how their limited edition stuff works - if, for example there is a chance for this collection to come back in the future, but if it does I highly recommend it!
